These kinds of opportunities are appearing everywhere.

In many neighborhoods across the United States, houses are only worth about half of what they were going for several years back. Some areas such as Detroit are feeling the pain so much that quite a few people are moving out and you can buy property for a song.

You just need to figure out where you want to put down roots and how you are going to sustain yourself. If you do work that can be done by way of the Internet, you're set. And if your job allows you to work from wherever you want, why not move to a place where a monthly rent or mortgage payment doesn't cost a small fortune.
